The Dreamer A Romantic Rendering of the LifeStory of Edgar Allan Poe eBook Mary Newton Stanard
Hard for me to review this book because I bought it for research. However, I quickly realized that it is a fictionalized version of Poe's life written (I believe) by one of his contemporaries, a woman named Mary Stanard. Not helpful to me as factual research, but the book does give the reader a taste of the romanticism that has encircled Poe since his untimely death and continues to this day. I don't know that I would label Poe "a dreamer," although he certainly appeared that way to many people, most especially women. I'm not sure the "true" Poe has yet been discovered, but I suspect he, in life, was nothing like the man he has morphed into since his mysterious death. However, any book that can take a reader even a tiny step closer to the mystery that was Poe, is worth reading.Product details

The Dreamer A Romantic Rendering of the LifeStory of Edgar Allan Poe eBook Mary Newton Stanard Reviews
Great book and free
I loved it!!! Brought real life to the great Poe. Excellent. Would recommend to any Poe fan or even someone that's not would find it an interesting read.
too much for me
Overall, the book came across very romantic and nostalgic, which made it somewhat tortuous to read with a straight face.
